Auto-Belay Session (1.5 hr)

Perfect for a large P.E or Outdoor education class outing (20-30 students) to try something new!

School Base Course 

Looking to learn the ropes – literally? This youth oriented package teaches students the essentials of top-rope belay systems and certifies them to use this skill at all Climb Base5 locations.

• Day 1: Introduction to Top Rope Belaying
• Day 2: Belay tests and certification
• 6:1 ratio (student:Base5 staff)
• Includes harness and belay device; shoe rentals not included
• Certificate of completion included

This youth oriented package teaches students the essentials of top-rope belay systems and certifies them to use this skill at all Climb Base5 locations. Basic climbing technique is taught on the third day.

• Day 3: Fundamentals of climbing technique

Climb Club

Developing climbing skills on a weekly basis! Students learn the essentials of top rope belay systems and certifies them to use this skill at all Climb Base5 locations, and then delves deeper into the movement and tactics of climbing.

• 1.5 hrs per session
• Must be recurring event of 8+ weeks
• Harness, shoes and belay device rental included
• 6:1 ratio (student:Base5 staff)
• Belay certification included
• Price dependent on length of commitment
• ages 10+

Coquitlam Package

Up to 12 Participants

• Ages: 6 and up
• Package is for 2.5 hours (Climbing first for 1.5 hours, then 1 hour in the party room)
• All safety equipment included (Climb shoes not included. Tight running shoes recommended)
• Refrigerator, freezer, utensils, and plates provided
• Staff Provided at a 4:1 ratio

North Vancouver Package

Up to 8 Participants

• Ages: 6 and up
• Package is for 2.5 hours (Climbing first for 1.5 hours, then 1 hour in the party room)
• All safety equipment included (Climb shoes not included. Tight running shoes recommended)
• Refrigerator, utensils, and plates provided
• Staff Provided at a 4:1 ratio

This is a private belay session that includes provided instructors to manage the ropes.

This is a Group Auto Belay Session. An automatic belay device (AKA auto belay) takes up slack as you climb. When the climber reaches the top, or if they fall, the device automatically catches the climber and slowly lowers them to the ground.
